Every summer, the Cornerstone team from Portland and Newington gets together for our annual Girls Day Out! This year, our Girls Day Out was held in Portsmouth on July 23, 2019.
Our day was filled with lots of fun activities! We started the day with a cooking class at Tuscan Kitchen, led by Head Chef, David. We learned how to create homemade egg pasta with a butternut squash filling—cappellacci di zucca (butternut squash ravioli). After we finished the lesson, we tasted our finished products—and also enjoyed a prosecco tasting with assorted crostinis and paninis.
Next, we spent time exploring downtown Portsmouth. We walked around downtown and explored the various stores, galleries, and other attractions that downtown Portsmouth has to offer. Whether sampling the various pretzel dips and wine or leaving with a purchase or two, we all had a successful trip!
Last but not least—pedicures! The Cornerstone Team headed to Buff & File for a pedicure with the polish color of their choice.
Although we were sad for the day to come to an end, we are already looking forward to next year’s Girls Day Out where we can all come together again! Special thanks to Christina for planning this year’s agenda.
